🧑‍🍳 How to Brew with the Phin

You will need:

• 2–3 teaspoons ground coffee (approx. 18–20 g)
• 120–150 ml hot water (92–96°C / 198–205°F)

Steps:

1. Place the Phin on your cup.
2. Add coffee and level gently.
3. Insert the press disk and press lightly.
4. Pour about 20 ml of hot water and let bloom for 30 seconds.
5. Add the remaining water.
6. Let it drip slowly for 4–6 minutes.

The coffee should drip evenly and calmly.

🥛 Traditional or Your Own Style

In Vietnam, coffee is often enjoyed with sweetened condensed milk – strong, sweet and creamy.

After brewing, it is traditionally poured over ice – known as Cà phê sữa đá.
This creates a bold and refreshing iced coffee, especially energizing during hot summer days.

If you prefer it less sweet, you can:

• Enjoy it black
• Add regular milk like cappuccino
• Use just a small amount of condensed milk
• Or pour it over ice for a refreshing summer version

Sweetened condensed milk is widely available in German supermarkets.
